In November 2025, JJoy Foundation initiated a project with our partner Volunteer Building Cambodia to provide a family with a safe home and solar power. This project was funded and built by an amazing JJoy Donor-Volunteer.
Let’s meet the family!
Kit and Sor live with their two young daughters in a village outside of Siem Reap. Kit works as a construction day laborer and a cassava farmhand earning $5 per day. Sor stays at home to care for their children. While neither of the parents in this family have an education beyond grade 4, they are dedicated to giving their children a brighter future. Nalin is currently studying in Grade 3. Reachana is just 4 years old and will attend school soon.
