Spreading Joy Around the World

our mission

JJoy Foundation was established with a goal of improving the quality of life for underserved individuals, families, and communities around the world.  We work to increase the visibility and reach of our partner organizations as we pursue projects focused on improving shelter, education and health. JJoy envisions a world where every person can thrive.

Making a lasting impact

We develop relationships with established international non profit organizations that are doing amazing work in their own communities. The alliances we create uphold the autonomy of our local partners, who define the needs and approach for each project.  By working together, we are able to reach a broad audience as we raise awareness and increase capacity for fundraising within the US. From time to time, we also facilitate volunteer teams who participate directly in this work.

Recent project highlights

10th Annual Upper Mustang Free Health Camp with Himalayan Guge Organization

People living in the Upper Mustang region of Nepal lack access to medical services and many have never had a proper checkup with a qualified physician. Instead, they have relied on traditional medical practices which are only partially effective. In November 2024, a team of volunteers participated in JJoy's second volunteer trip to Nepal - the 10th Annual Upper Mustang Free Health Camp.  During this project, a team of medical doctors and professionals organized by the Himalayan Guge Organization (HGO) offered free checkups, workshops, and health assessments for every individual in attendance - a total of 337 people over the course of 4 days! Volunteers supported doctors in recording vital signs, distributing medications, assisting with treatments and registering patients. In the time outside the clinic, the team had a chance to visit several important cultural heritage and enjoyed the beautiful Himalayan vistas. It was a special opportunity and a big success!

We are returning to Nepal in November 2025 for the 11th Annual Upper Mustang Free Health Camp, email us at [email protected] for information on how to join us!

Healthy Homes Project with Volunteer Building Cambodia

In December 2024, JJoy's second volunteer team to Cambodia traveled to Siem Reap to improve the living conditions for families in need in rural areas. Working with our partner, Volunteer Building Cambodia, our team participated in the construction of two houses and two toilets. We also provided solar panels for electricity and clean water wells with bio-sand water filters to improve the quality of family's drinking water! At the end of the week, the team celebrated with the new homeowners as they prepared to start the next chapter in their lives. Working side by side with a family offers a unique opportunity to more deeply understand the culture, community, and daily lives of these beneficiaries. And it's fun too!

We are planning our next volunteer teams to Cambodia:
November 23-29, 2025 - RECRUITING NOW
November 30-December 6, 2025 - RECRUITING NOW

If you are interested in joining one of these trips or scheduling a team of your own, email us at [email protected] today!

"I like the fact that JJoy's projects are based around the premise that a few people can make a direct impact on somebody, can change lives."
