In November 2025, JJoy Foundation initiated a project with our partner Volunteer Building Cambodia to provide a family with a safe home and sanitary latrine. This project was funded and built by an amazing JJoy Donor-Volunteer.
Let’s meet the family!
Vanny lives with her family in a small village outside of Siem Reap. She is 62 years old and lacks formal education. She spends her days cultivating a small vegetable garden near her home. Vanny’s son, Somnang, stopped studying in grade 3 in order to provide for his family. He now works as a receptionist in Siem Reap earing $180 per month. Somnang’s wife, Sitha, stays home to take care of their daughter, Mei, who is 6 years old and attending primary school.
We can’t wait to see this family in their new home. Congratulations!
