In October 2025, JJoy Foundation initiated a project with our partner Volunteer Building Cambodia to provide a family with a safe home, sanitary latrine, clean water system and solar power. This home was funded and built by donor-volunteers Georgene and Mick O’Rourke. The other projects were funded through JJoy-VBC General Donations.
Let’s meet the family!
Se and his wife Layhieng live with their 2 young children on the outskirts of Siem Reap. Both parents work as farm workers earning about $4 per day each. Yury is 9 and she attends primary school (grade 2). Singhak is just 3 years old and does not yet go to school
This family works hard and is grateful for the life changing opportunity to have their own safe home. We wish them all the best!
