Construction: August 2025
In August 2025, JJoy Foundation initiated a project with our partner Volunteer Building Cambodia to provide a family with a safe home, sanitary latrine, clean water system and solar power. This project was funded entirely by donations from JJoy’s first legacy donors, Bonnie and Printis Shelton.
Let’s meet the family!
Vath and his wife Sok live with their 2 young daughters on the outskirts of Siem Reap. Vath stopped attending school in Grade 7 and now provides for his family by doing construction work for $6 per day. Sok stays home to care for their children.
Their lives have been challenging but this project represents a turning point! They are thrilled to have this opportunity for a fresh start. Welcome home!
