In May 2025, JJoy Foundation initiated a project with our partner Volunteer Building Cambodia to provide a family with a clean water well. This project was funded by donations from JJoy’s Volunteer Team VBC-250505-TV.
Let’s meet the family!
There are 9 members of this family. Yann (age 71) is living with her daughter Youert (36) and her son Pheak (31). Together they care for 6 children, ages 3 through 11. The four older kids are attending school and the younger 2 will start soon.
Yann stays at home to care for the grandchildren while Youert and Pheak work. Youert raises livestock but only earns about $15 every 4 months. Pheak is a baker and earns $5 per week.
This large family faces many challenges. Having a clean water well in close proximity to their home will ease some of their burdens. Congratulations!
