It’s been a busy quarter filled with lots of Joy – we are excited to share our fall updates with you. Here’s what has been happening over the past few months:
JJoy’s work in Cambodia is expanding! We’re now officially fundraising for the Volunteer Building Cambodia Community Center. VBCCC is a place where 200 kids come to learn English and computer skills every day after school. Donations will keep the program running by supporting annual operating expenses and necessary infrastructure improvements. 📚🇰🇭
JJoy has taken a major step forward with Love in Action Malawi (LIAM). To ensure that vulnerable kids in LIAM’s afterschool program have regular access to meals containing high quality protein, we’re constructing a coop which will soon be home to as many as 1,000 chickens! We anticipate that within 6 months we will be providing meat as a part of the kids’ meals 1-2 times per week. 🐓 🌽 🇲🇼
JJoy’s Volunteer Team has arrived in Nepal! Throughout November we’ll be running free health camps in the villages of Ghiling, Yara,Tsarang and more. The team will also be visiting the JJoy-HGO Namgon Drophen Sorig Clinic in Tsonup. We invite you to follow along on JJoy’s social media channels (FB, IG, X, Threads, YouTube) to learn more about the impact we are making together.

JJoy’s first volunteer team to Rwanda is now fully recruited. In March, we’ll be helping our partner, INEZA Foundation, expand their footprint on a new campus in the outskirts of Kigali which will better serve the community. 📚🇷🇼

JJoy is thrilled to welcome Shelley Lawson to our Board of Directors! Shelley has been providing valuable advice and support as a volunteer advisor from JJoy’s beginning. We couldn’t be happier to officially recognize her contributions and have her as a part of our team!

We’ve made the decision to pause work on the Centro Recreativo Joy in Mozambique. We’re grateful to all of the donors and supporters who have helped us advance construction to its current stage. Educate Mozambique hopes to complete construction in the future. 🛠 🇲🇿
