The 8th Annual Upper Mustang Health Camp took place in a public building. In the village of Tsarang, we used the local administrative offices. Although patients are coming for medical treatment, there was definitely also a very social atmosphere – friends gathering and catching up before during and after treatment! Amchi Chungden treated many patients with cupping therapy, which provides significant relief for patients by increasing circulation, releasing muscle tension, and reducing inflammation. In addition to applying a vacuum, in some cases the skin was pricked before cupping to induce a cleansing of the qi.
