We held 2 days of the 8th Annual Upper Mustang Health Camp in each village we visited.  This allows for repeat treatments for patients – a blessing.  Amchi Tenzin provides acupuncture treatment to a patient experiencing extreme pain.  Because he was able to return for a second treatment the following day, his symptoms were significantly improved.

The treatments provided at the Upper Mustang Free Health Camp are based in Eastern (Tibetan) medicine.  The medications are based on the tradition of Sowa Rigpa (the Science of Healing).  Volunteer Nancy, a hospital pharmacist in the US, assisted with medication distribution as Amchi Chungden and Amchi Yeishi counsel a patient.
