JJoy has a new partner! Educate Mozambique believes that the situation you were born into should not dictate your future and that by lifting each other up and working together, we can create a more prosperous community. 

Founded in 2017, Educate Mozambique works to expand educational opportunities and implement innovative community development projects in the rural village of Mutua.  As we launch our partnership, we invite you to join us in making a difference in this community.

In Mutua, there is no indoor communal space for residents to congregate – neighborhood meetings and youth activity groups are usually held outdoors.  The rainy season brings most recreational activities and community gatherings to a halt. 

With your help, we’re going to address these gaps and create new opportunities by constructing the Centro Recreativo Joy!  This 3,400 square-foot building will be a first-of-its-kind, all inclusive gathering place in Mutua for youth and families alike.  Educate Mozambique will facilitate educational programs, health and wellness trainings, community meetings, social activities and much more in this new space!

Construction costs in Mozambique are low. We are raising $12,000 to kick off this life-changing project.
